As you may know by now, Michelle and I are being laid off from the company that we work for here in Colorado. We've been keeping busy, but having known so far in advance (because we had to- we are the HR department here) it has been a rollercoaster of emotions for us for over a year now. At first, it was speculation and made good business sense, now it's personal.
Fortunately for us, we are a small office committed to each other and each other's well being. We share in the responsibility of being the 'shoulder' for each other.
Browsing, I came across this really great string of articles listed on B-Net. They aren't in any way sappy so never fear, but do give some great insight on Unemployment and some of the emotions that can control your now 'temporary' work environment.
