Let's keep this simple, shall we?
In professional letter format, list the following being sure of no spelling or grammatical errors.
Make sure that you are speaking TO the person about your experience and how it aligns with the requirements for the position. Conversationally.
Your Current contact information. All of it.
To: The company you want to work for.
Whomever you can connect with in the interview process' name and contact information if you have it. If not, leave that for now.
Show your excitement for finding the position. Your passion for the industry or why you are interested in the company.
Recent experience that relates to the position. (Use a combination of the keywords that are in the job description) and layman's terms of skills/ qualities to express your fit for the position.
Now start with specific bullets that join your experience with the skills required in the job description.
As many as you can get on there without being redundant.
Reiterate your excitement in being contacted immediately (as your schedule is open to take this call) regarding the opportunity. List current contact info AGAIN in the closing and sign it with your full legal name.
Make sure you:
1.) State the company's name 3-4 times throughout the letter.
2.) Include current salary requirements if the position requires it.
