The effects of unemployment right now are touching everyone's lives. To the worker who is laid off, the worker who stays on and reaps the additional responsibilities of the laid off worker and the already unemployed competing with the newly laid off unemployed. Please don't forget these people's families.
No matter who you are, or what category you fall under, if you are unemployed you are in the right place. My name is Cass Fisher and I was a Recruiter for a Global Company transitioning from private to publicly held. Why does this matter? Because I was given a severance date too: April 1, 2010. As a recruiter, I have gone through resumes, met with hiring managers about what types of people and what types of skills they are looking for and have used this knowledge to find qualified individuals to fill the positions that were open in my company.
Here is where you will find fresh information on what's going on out there. I feel that the experiences that I have gained over these past years are worth sharing, and is priceless information. If anything, I hope to engage you and get you on your way to becoming employed whether that is by taking temporary work until the 'right thing' comes along or even part time and volunterring work you may come across to enhance your skill set. These tips I give are at no cost and should be in any unemployed job seeker's tool box.
